Limerick County is a major golf facility in south west Ireland ideally located 27km from Shannon Airport and close to other Irish Golf courses such as Lahinch, Ballybunion, and Killarney. Limerick County Golf Club comprises of a championship-standard golf course, driving range, spectacular clubhouse, and over 100 luxury homes. The course, originally designed by Irish Ryder Cup player Des Smyth and Declan Brannigan & Associates, meanders over undulating, sand-based terrain and provides firm footing for the golfer throughout the year. Des has made excellent use of the landscape and this provides for some spectacular second shots, particularly on the front nine holes. The course is built on part of the Croker Estate, the ancestral home of the notorious "Boss" Croker of New York’s Tammany Hall fame. Croker lore has it that as the family patriarch lay dying he was promised a fairer land on the other side. He replied "I doubt it".

10 Years New...
Limerick County was designed by Irish Ryder Cup player Des Smyth and Irish Amateur International Declan Brannigan and opened by the then Taoiseach Albert Reynolds in June 1994. Celebrating its 10th birthday, Limerick County Golf & Country Club Limited completed a €1.5m course improvement programme in April 2005
The course improvement programme comprised of the redesigning and building of 5 completely new golf holes, 6 new tee complexes, replacement of irrigation heads to all greens and tees and verti-drainage of the fairway on the 1st hole, and the purchase of the top of the range fleet course machinery. All of the new developments are now fully in play and add an extra dimension to the ever-maturing course.
Limerick County Golf Club has quickly become one of the most desirable residential locations in the Shannon Region, Ireland with over 100 luxury homes now built within the complex.
The Club has also played a major part in the development and growth of the Village of Ballyneety and the surrounding area. Limerick County Ltd. brought the national gas grid and the Limerick City water supply to the village of Ballyneety and the Company is developing plans to bring a further 60 luxury homes into the Village in the near future.
